Matt Borghi was born and raised in Detroit but now calls East Lansing, MI his home. Matt's primary occupation is coordinating the Web activities for the six-billion dollar Municpal Employees Retirement System of Michigan, as well as focusing on internal electronic communications, employee engagement, and the organization's electronic communications.
Along with his Web work, Matt's also a music composer/sound artist. Working mostly in the areas of ambient music, field recording and conceptual sound art, Matt has carved out a sound that is uniquely his; a sound where subtlety, nuance, and texture are Matt's compositional tools towards creating dense sonic tone poems and contemplative microsymphonies.
Matt also spends time chasing down ancient printing relics for his letterpress shop and graphic design service, The Hand Work Press, which has it's own site here: http://www.thehandworkpress.com, where Matt can be found semi-frequently opining about great printing finds, great prints, or the experience of printing and design.
