Matt Borghi is an American music composer, artist, music journalist, blogger, graphic/web designer and letterpress printer living in East Lansing, Michigan.

In 1996, Borghi received his certificate in Broadcast Arts & Journalism from the Specs Howard School of Broadcast Arts in Southfield, MI.

Beginning in 1997, Borghi had a variety of poems published in small quarterly and regional publications, which eventually led him to work as a music journalist which he did actively from 1999 – 2005 writing for the likes of ArtByte, Billboard, BPM Culture, and All Music Guide.

In 1999, Borghi released his first recording, For Running Time on his own b:group/ records label, which has since been followed by over two dozen recordings on recording company labels such as Hypnos, Ghostly, Simballrec, and a variety of others as well as being featured on NPR programs Music from the Hearts of Space, Echoes, the BBC, the CBC and many others.

In 2002 Borghi co-founded Slo.Bor Media with Jason Sloan as an outlet for their individual releases and a platform for other artists with a similar aesthetic.

In 2003, Borghi received his BA in Interdisciplinary Arts with a focus on and Sound and Music Composition from Goddard College in Plainfield Vermont. After finishing college, Borghi began work as a graphic and Web designer and worked for a variety of companies in and around East Lansing, Michigan.

In 2006, Borghi began working as a Web coordinator and business analyst, with a focus on electronic communications and leveraging the power of the Web and Digital strategy.
